Awakened 2021

Awakened 2021
August 31, 2021 Presenting Denver

An arts event with dance, music and spoken word, lands at the intersection of the divine feminine and Mother Earth to respond to the needs of our current world.

Sunday, September 12 at Cleo Parker Robinson Theater (119 Park Ave W. Denver, CO 80205). Networking and connection to resources begins at 5pm. The show begins at 6pm. – Awakened founder, dancer and designer Xitlali Adame, with support from Universal
Basic Resources and The Green House, will host an environmental consciousness
event—AWAKENED 2021.
The vision for this event stemmed from a desire to return to our roots in Mother Earth/Nature,
through feminine grace, in order to reconnect to the source for a new, conscious lifestyle. It will
be a celebration of life through the philosophy and movement of women, with the support of
man, for our youth and future generations.
“I feel we need movements like AWAKENED in times where community is needed most—uniting
inspiring and empowering while utilizing the arts as conduit to help bring awareness about
important causes in the world,” Xitlali says.
The evening will include performances from spoken word artists and empowerment speakers,
such as Chet W. Sisk, Bobby LeFebre, Michanda Lindsey and more. Xitlali will also perform new
dance pieces and showcase fashion designs. Resources will also be available for education,
environmental justice, community outreach, self-care and sustainable fashion in order to
connect audience members with opportunities for direct action.
AWAKENED 2021 aims to raise awareness and educate regarding the importance of balance in
our lives. Live performance serves as its foundation, and thus the creativity and expression
present will keep us in harmony with each other and will provide space to reflect on the
necessity of our connection with Mother Earth and achieving balance in our lives.
Every creative aspect of the evening is intended to uplift, inspire and inform us on how to
overcome both the struggles and reality of this time as a community.
