Internationally recognized Austrian choreographer Robert Sher-Machherndl creates a new and uncompromising site-specific work WALD.  A powerful response to global warming, environmental change, its impact on personal relationships, social interactions and the human condition. Sher-Machherndl reflects upon contemporary culture, responding via ground-breaking signature movement language, nuanced choreography and world-class performance on Thur March 31, 2022.

WALD is performed by a fierce collaborators Makaila Wallace a highly-skilled ballet dancer who masterfully and fearlessly approach Sher-Machherndl’s uncompromising, movement language and Sher-Machherndl himself.

The state-of-the-art Boulder JCC 5000sq ft solar paneled gym with 40ft ceilings is converted into a cutting-edge 21 century performance space, complete with socially distance seating.
WALD is a free event and open to the public.
