Embodiology® is a new sensi-cognitive movement practice that combines individual expression, body-mind dexterity and community building, together in an experience that is joyous, insightful and vitalizing. Embodiology® helps to build skills of empathy with additional outcomes of improved physical agility and abundant creativity. This concentration is an immersive study of the use of improvisation originating from the endogenous performance practices of African dance, music and song. It is ideal for established dancers and choreographers wishing to develop their pedagogy and research skills as a complement to their artistry, as well as current teachers who want to deepen their knowledge.
