Dance Archive and Newman Center collaborate to offer a master class
March 28 @ 10:00 am$35
The Dance Archive and the Newman Center will collaborate to offer a master class onstage at the Newman Center with the great Francisco Graciano.
Francisco Graciano will be teaching a modern dance class rooted in the style he performed for thirteen years with the Paul Taylor Dance Company. His class focuses on breath and musicality while simultaneously inviting the freedom to individualize. The class will thoroughly warm up the entire body and include brief movement phrases designed to familiarize the body with the space and prepare for the bigger phrases across the room. Graciano’s movement phrases are grounded in technique and focus on fullness of movement and the use of the floor as a partner. Most importantly the key in every class is a sense of play and discovering new sensations in the body through movement.
A limited number of scholarships will be provided by The Dance Archive. Teachers, if you have a student you would like to recommend for a scholarship due to financial need. please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
