Bartenieff for Dancers

This is a somatics movement and exploration-focused class designed to foster bodily integration and improve/hone awareness to the subtlety of the body in motion with special attention to ease and efficiency.  The class is not a dance class but instead intended, through anatomical information and movement provided, as an invitation to find a healing and more sustainable relationship with your body.  This class serves as a perfect restorative experience for the busy dancer, a deep self-study of the personal bodily connection, a rebalancing nervous system reset, and/or a great warm-up and centering experience for the Contemporary Movement class following this class on Wednesdays, taught by Brandon Welch, from 11-12:30.
