Announcing Samba Colorado’s premiere of “AGO!”, a dance theatre performance and fundraiser directed and choreographed by Afro-Latina Founder and Artistic Director Kebrina Josefina De Jesús. It is with great honor to feature our mentors and master teachers from Brasil, Rosangela Silvestre and Jorge Alabe’s collaboration and mentorship on this special event. Live music performed by Mestre Alabe, Samba Colorado musicians, Michael Paff, Andre Rogers and special guests. Join us for this incredible event.
Discover the divine forces of nature through exploring energy, human connection, self-expression, and movement inspired by the Orixá deities of Africa and Brazil. AGO is the most well-known Yoruba salutation, politely announcing one’s arrival before entering a home. Let us arrive together to celebrate life, experience African Brazilian cultural art, and personal transformation.
“AGO” is showing Friday April 7th and Saturday April 8th & at 7:00 pm in the Grace Gamm Theatre at the Dairy Center for Performing Arts. Our closing performance will be April 9th at 2:00 pm at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance.
