Eva recently relocated to Denver from New York City, and is excited to become part of Presenting Denver’s team of Ambassadors to share her enthusiasm for creating community around dance. Eva got hooked on ballet at an early age, going on to study dance at Connecticut College, where she broadened her dance lens and become interested in various styles as well as the connections between dance and society. In her abroad studies, she researched the impact of tango on Argentine culture in Buenos Aires. She went on to pursue her Master’s degree at Columbia College Chicago in dance/movement therapy and counseling, enabling her to apply her belief in the healing powers of dance and movement in the clinical setting. She currently works at the Mental Health Center of Denver as an early childhood mental health clinician. Because dance has always been both expression of and restoration for her spirit, Eva continues to weave dance into her life wherever possible through classes and as a viewer. She is particularly interested in how dance impacts on the individual, group, and societal level and how it can be used to connect and engage people- whether it be two or 200. Eva is excited to join Presenting Denver as an Ambassador to engage in her new city through the powerful and communal language of dance.
