ABOUT NILE H. RUSSELL

Nile H. Russell is originally from Baltimore, MD. He received a B.A. in Dance from Connecticut College, where is had the guidance of wonderful teachers including Dan Wagoner, Lan Lan Wang, Jeff Rebudal, Robyne Watkins, David Dorfman, Eddie Taketa, and Jeremy Nelson. He moved to New York is 2004, where he danced with Silver-Brown Dance, LeeSaar The Company, Luis Lara Malvacias, Stefanie Nelson Dance Group, Naganuma Dance, and co-founded CaN Dance. In 2009, Nile joined Pilobolus Dance Theater as a dancer and later became Dance Captain of the main touring company. He moved to Denver is 2014.

Public Stage | No Walls

Take part in an afternoon of free dance performances on the Boettcher Center Lawn on June 23, 2018. View works by Colorado artists David Taylor’s Zikr Dance Ensemble, Mary Lynn Lewark, Maureen Breeze Dance Theater, Nile H. Russell, Nu-World Contemporary Danse Theatre, Parasol Arts, and Thomas Dance Project on our outdoor Public Stage in the No Walls concert. Bring the kids, pack a picnic, and make an afternoon of it!

Cost: Free

*Open lawn seating. Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Alcohol consumption and smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited. Artists and program subject to change. This concert will take place in a sunny outdoor area. We encourage you to plan ahead for hot weather and to wear sunscreen.
