ABOUT GREGORY GONZALES

Gregory Gonzales graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Sports Fitness/Kinesiology and Dance. Gregory received a dance scholarship during his time at UNC and earned the Best Dancer Award. Gregory danced the bulk of his career at Colorado Ballet where he was promoted to Principal in 1997. He created several works for the Colorado Ballet and was made a Choreographer in Residence for the 2003-2004 season. Gregory has choreographed for several companies, universities and schools. He was selected to present works for the Denver Independent Choreographer’s Project and the Aspen Dance Connection Choreography Festival.

MASTER CLASS AND PREVIEW PERFORMANCE SERIES
APRIL 21, 2018

As part of the Presenting Denver Dance Festival Master Class and Preview Performance Series, Gregory will be teaching an floor barrre master class for students ages 15 years or older on April 21, 2018 from 3:30-5:00pm. No previous dance experience is required to take this class. Gregory will also be showing a sneak peek of the work he is creating for the dance festival from 2:45-3:45pm. The informal showing will be followed by a short audience Q/A with the artists as well as a reception. Both events will take place at Colorado Conservatory of Dance. Learn more.

JUNE 23-24, 2018

Main Stage | New & Now

The 2018 Presenting Denver Dance Festival, co-presented by Presenting Denver and The Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts, will be a compilation of world premieres by Colorado artists Chadash Contemporary Dance Movement, Edgar L. Page, Gregory Gonzales, Hannah Kahn Dance Company, Helanius J. Wilkins, Kristen Demaree, Moraporvida Contemporary Dance, and The Schiff Dance Collective. These main stage artists will perform in the New & Now concert in the Byron Theatre on June 23-24, 2018. There will be additional dance activities over the weekend and throughout the year.
