L.A. Dance Project Master Class | March 10, 2018

Bursting onto the dance scene in 2012, L.A. Dance Project has been turning heads with its fresh, contemporary vision of dance and stylistically diverse repertory.

Join us on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 10 am-11:30 am for a free advanced modern dance master class with L.A. Dance Project company members. The event is co-presented by Presenting Denver and The Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts.

Master Class and Preview Performance Series | February 17, March 17, April 21, and May 19, 2018

3rd Saturday of the month from February – May 2018

As part of the 2018 Presenting Denver Dance Festival, we invite you to take part in our Master Class & Preview Performance Series with the main stage artists. New to dance, active professional, or somewhere in between? We have a class for you! Class levels, genres, and locations vary. Learn more about the master classes offered.

More of a spectator? Register for a sneak peek of the world premieres created by the main stage festival artists. These informal studio presentations will be followed by a short audience Q/A with the artists led by Joan Brown, Presenting Denver Dance Festival Committee member and past Board president of the Carson Brierly Giffin Dance Library. Be sure to stick around for small bites and light refreshments catered by Perspective Gourmet after the presentation. Open to all ages.

Presenting Denver Dance Festival | June 23 – 24, 2018

The 2018 Presenting Denver Dance Festival, co-presented by Presenting Denver and The Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts, will be a compilation of world premieres by Colorado artists Chadash Contemporary Dance Movement, Edgar L. Page, Gregory Gonzales, Hannah Kahn Dance Company, Helanius J. Wilkins, Kristen Demaree, Moraporvida Contemporary Dance, and The Schiff Dance Collective. These main stage artists will perform in the New & Now concert in the Byron Theatre on June 23-24, 2018. There will be additional dance activities over the weekend and throughout the year. December 2, 2017 | Wine & Works-in-Progress Feedback Session was a free, fun evening of dance by student and professional choreographers Bella Diva Dance, Deepali – Dancer. Actor. Choreographer., Isabel Koontz, Kimberly Savage-Dawkins, Mercury Dance Company, and Sarrah Scott. Attendees sipped wine, viewed, and gave feedback on creative dance creations by these Colorado artists. The discussion was led by facilitator Angie Simmons, Artistic Director of Evolving Doors Dance. The event took place at The Robert and Judi Newman Center for Theatre Education, Conservatory Theater in downtown Denver.

Martha Graham Dance Company Master Class

October 7, 2017 | On October 7, 2017 Presenting Denver in co-sponsorship with The Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts hosted a free community master class with Denise Vale, Senior Artistic Associate of the Martha Graham Dance Company, and one of the last principal dancers to work directly with Martha Graham. Ms. Vale engaged an enthusiastic group of multi-generational dancers to move with Graham’s exuberant energy. The event took place in the Byron Studio at the Newman Center.

Attendees enjoyed fantastic insight to the company.

Photo by Presenting DenverSeptember 12, 2016 | Presenting Denver Head to Toe: A Photo & Film Shoot was a fun and free event for dancers or dance organizations of all ages and backgrounds to show off their dance moves and act as photo and film models for Presenting Denver’s marketing and branding purposes. This event was held at EXDO Event Center.
