Ken Jones serves as the Managing Partner of Welborn Sullivan Meck & Tooley, P.C. He specializes in oil and gas, acquisitions and dispositions, complex business transactions, and corporate law. Since 2000, Mr. Jones has been the Adjunct Professor of Oil and Gas Law at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He chaired the Oil and Gas Program of the 39th Annual Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Institute, served as a Trustee of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, is a member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Board of Governors and serves as a Director and the President of the Denver Petroleum Club and as a Director of Presenting Denver. Mr. Jones has been selected for inclusion in Colorado Super Lawyers and has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America every year since such publications established an oil and gas category. He has been listed in Who’s Who in American Law for the past eight years and he was recently named in the 2015 Top Lawyers List (Natural Resources) compiled by 5280 – The Denver Magazine and in The Denver Business Journal’s 2015 Who’s Who in Energy. In December 2014, Mr. Jones was inducted into the Denver Association of Petroleum Landman Hall of Fame.
