Emily Hoch is a native to Colorado, and has been dancing since age 3. She was inspired through her high school dance company to pursue dance as a career, which led her to the University of Northern Colorado to obtain a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts & Dance on scholarship. While in college she found her passion choreographing for dance concerts, directing student shows, and serving as President of the University’s Dance Alliance. Her choreography has been showcased at the American Collegiate Dance Festival of Arts, and she has continued to choreograph on local dance companies and professional and high school dance teams. Ms. Hoch has been fortunate to have diverse training working with several artists from professional and collegiate levels in jazz, modern, tap, ballet, hip hop, West African, and Capoeria. Over the past 16 years she has taught classes at several local dance schools and is a resident choreographer and instructor at the Arvada Center Dance Theater. Currently she teaches dance and PE at Doral Academy of Colorado, an arts integrated public charter school in Jeffco. Ms. Hoch is currently obtaining her Masters in Dance Education through the University of Northern Colorado with her thesis focused on dance integration in the language arts classroom. She is also a proud parent to her teenage son, Jackson!
