Chelley Canales

Chelley is the Corporate Relations Manager for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, an organization whose clubs provide kids a safe place with positive role models, homework help, programs to help them make healthier life choices and opportunities to develop their character and leadership skills.

In her previous role as Development Associate for The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Chelley raised funds for arts in education, a cause that is very close to her heart. Raised in Littleton, Chelley was fortunate enough to explore her love of the performing arts through education, which helped shape the course of her life. Chelley earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and was the recipient of the Trustee Award, awarded to one student from each class per year for outstanding leadership and service capabilities.

In her professional theatrical career, Chelley has danced on stages all over the Denver metro area and beyond, including Littleton Town Hall Arts Center, The Arvada Center, The Aurora Fox, Vintage Theatre and Breckenridge Backstage Theatre. A four-year stint of living in New York City only amplified her love of dance and she could be found training most days of the week at Steps on Broadway. Chelley’s wish when she left the city was to help create an even greater and more vibrant dance community in Denver, and she could not be more honored to be working with Presenting Denver on this mission. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Mile High Young Professionals, the Young Professionals Board for Project C.U.R.E., and was a graduating member of the CBCA Leadership Arts Class of 2017.
